As the world is going through a phase of frequent disasters and disruptions, natural and human-induced, societies need to become more resilient. CSD is committed to helping people and governments at various levels through National Adaptation Plan (NAP), offering support to developing countries, and accelerating climate change adaptation efforts.
Resilience and sustainability mark the critical goals of achieving social, economic, and environmental stability. Together, they can create systems that enhance the quality of life, build societies that can withstand the inescapable shocks from environmental and ecological disasters, and embrace technological advances. Climate change-related disruptions top the list of threats to the global population, and that should be the current focus of being resilient. We believe that through our international and local partnerships, communities can be educated about the inevitability of being resilient. And they can be trained to develop a more resilient society. A key element of CSD’s action plan is to educate communities and integrate its abilities to live through changes.
